Meta Avatars 1.0

Art Director, Clothing — Meta Avatars 1.0
  • Drove design development for internal and external teams, from concept through final asset delivery
  • Directed style, shape language, construction, materiality, and fit across the pipeline
  • Partnered with legal, user research, and the Inclusive Product Council on IP and representation guidelines
Catalog Styling and Merchandising
Keeping avatars dressed meant a steady feed of new drops - some built out the evergreen collection, others kept pace with what was trending. Each piece got weighed against platform constraints, trend relevance, and whatever gaps were showing up in the catalog, then balanced against brand identity, cultural timing, and what was technically feasible to ship.

Capcom / Street Fighter — Case Study

Street Fighter is highlighted here as a representative example of brand partnerships.
For this collaboration, I worked directly with Capcom’s creative team to adapt official character designs into avatar-native wearables - preserving each fighter’s iconic silhouette, identity, and styling details while aligning with avatar technical and aesthetic standards.

The process collaborating with brands generally consisted of these steps:
Ryu - Paint Over and Technical Recommendations
Chun Li - Paint Over and Technical Recommendations
E. Honda - Paint Over and Technical Recommendations
Juri - Paint Over and Technical Recommendations
Blanka - Paint Over and Technical Recommendations
1.) Paint overs - Technical redesign recommendations
2.) Approved 2D orthographics
3.) 3D base assets

4.) Final Implementation + Marketing Art
Assortment, Trend, & Cultural Styling

Developed evergreen assortments, market-focused collections, and culturally responsive wearable drops.
This work spanned foundational apparel, seasonal essentials, and style-driven capsules tied to viral trends, holidays, and global cultural moments.
